What Are The Limitations Of Paint Protection?
Paint Protection Film is undoubtedly an incredible product. When selecting a quality film and an experienced installer, the application of a Clear Bra will add value to your vehicle. However, the product can be oversold and overpromised by some manufacturers and installers. In order to be an informed consumer, it’s important for you to know what Paint Protection Film does not do.
It is NOT maintenance free. Long-term paint protection is never a one-stop solution. Your film will get dirty. If you let dirt, bird-droppings, or bug-splatter sit on your car’s film, you will shorten the film’s life. You will still need to wash your car regularly in order to maintain its look and longevity
It is NOT bullet proof! Crashes, bumps or deep scrapes can damage the film.
Clear Bra is incredibly strong and impact resistant. That being said, it does not unbreakable. It can be damaged by a particularly strong force.

FAQs
With the years of expertise, we still don't have every answer to every question; but we do provide the most frequently ones asked. Others that are not so frequent are welcomed. We will be glad to clear any doubt or questions you may have. Thank you.
XPEL requires film curing process to be a 30-60 days process, due to the thickness of the material and the amount of moisture it holds, it should take at least 3-4 weeks to start seeing flattened areas and more natural finish.
It's normal to see humidity or lumpiness in the film during the curing process the first 3-4 weeks. Any bubble or trapped moisture will be inspected on the 30 day period and be squeezed out and have heat applied to prevent future moisture.
Yes, you can use a pressure washer on PPF clear bra paint protection films. You can typically wash the car after 48 hours as this is the time required for the film to dry completely after the installation. However make sure that high pressure water is not used directly on the edges. However, we recommend getting hand wash.
The answer is that you absolutely can wax your PPF-protected car, but you don't really need to for the most part. Your car will require far less waxing than it ordinarily would without a PPF. Having said that, it isn't really necessary or even advisable to wax over a PPF. If you do, make sure you remove excess wax from edges as they can shorten the life of the film.
Yes it's normal. Windshield are usually thicker material films that take longer curing process. Windshields take about 7 days to settle in to the glass in order to appear as if it were not there. Give it time to dry up well more than the side windows and the rear window it needs more days. We suggest to leave the car out in the sun facing the windshield to quicken the healing process.
NOTE: XPEL & all other ppf companies recommend checking the installation from 3ft away as close up inspections isn't the end result look youre trying to achieve. Film will appear as if it's not there from 3ft away.
